Learn free-motion quilting -- the most popular way to finish your quilt. It’s really not difficult! In class you’ll learn basic techniques for stippling and all-over meandering designs that will make you successful in a very short time. I teach in a progressive, step by step approach that is easy to do. After you learn the basics, we’ll move on to freehand designs you can use right away on your first project. Don't be intimidated by "free motion" – let me walk you through the process and make it fun!

Start your free-motion quilting adventure now!
Are you ready to jump in with both feet and actually start free-motion quilting your quilt? This hands-on workshop is the perfect way to put your free-motion quilting knowledge into practice with a professional teacher standing by to answer all your questions and concerns as you quilt. To make it even easier to get started, design ideas will be discussed and outlined for each student’s quilt. This is a great class with lots of discussion and question/answer time.

Hands-On Workshop Tired of having unfinished quilt tops lying around? Now is the time to get them quilted! This workshop will give you all the help and motivation you need to start using the designs on your quilt. We’ll discuss and outline design ideas for each student’s quilt, giving everyone lots of ideas for the future. Plus we’ll map out ways to make the quilting designs more continuous. Then you’ll start quilting in class! As always there will be lots of time for discussion and questions/answers. So come and enjoy some quilting time.

How to Quilt that Quilt!
There’s nothing I’m more passionate about, except maybe my cats, than free-motion quilting. Bring your unfinished quilt tops and we’ll walk through the process of figuring out “how to quilt your quilt” with a design you’re comfortable quilting (yes, there is actually a method you can follow – it’s covered in my book, “Free-Motion Quilting Made Easy, 186 Designs from 8 Simple Shapes). Plus I’ll bring some of my quilts along to show additional ideas.
